On February 1, 1932, Zou Lu was inaugurated as President of National Sun Yat-sen University(NSYSU).
2.Institute of Pathology
In April 1932, the Institute of Pathology of NSYSU was founded, with Liang Boqiang as its director. From August to September of the following year, Liang Boqiang from the Institute of Pathology within NSYSU’s College of Medicine, went to the mountainous region of Yao in Guangxi to study the blood of the Yao people.cc

3.The new anthem of the University
In September 1932, Zou Lu penned the lyrics, and Chen Hong composed the music for a new anthem of the University.

4.NSYSU took over the Kwangtung General Annals Institute
In November 1932, the Kwangtung General Annals Institute was taken over by NSYSU, with Xu Gantang as the director and Wu Kang, Zhu Qianzhi, and Zhu Xizu as members.
5.The study of the nation-centered primary school curriculum
In November 1932, teachers and students of the Institute of Educational Research of NSYSU, including Cui Zaiyang, Fang Dunyi, Lin Jincheng, Qi Huanyao, and He Shaojia, carried out the “Study of the Nation-centered Primary School Curriculum”, with the main purpose of “finding out an economical way to complete the compulsory education through the reform of curriculum”. The steps and methods of the study included:
Analyzing the primary school curriculum standards issued by the Ministry of Education;
Analyzing and comparing the primary school textbooks from various bookstores;
Identifying the needs in various aspects of the Chinese nation;
Exploring the basic principles of the curriculum;
Arranging the curriculum according to the children’s psychology;
Formulating the principles of publishing textbooks;
Formulating effective methods and experiments tailored to the curriculum.
In February 1934, the experimental class of the primary school run by the Institute of Educational Research of NSYSU was officially opened.
