1.The School of Medicine at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) sent surgical teams to Korea
On December 16, 1950, the School of Medicine at SYSU received notification from the Ministry of Health to organize surgical teams, and began training teams in battlefield medical care. On January 4, 1951, the volunteer surgical team composed of faculty members and students from the School of Medicine at SYSU departed for the Korean battlefield.

3.The appointment of Hsu Chung-ching as President of SYSU by the Central People's Government
On February 20, 1951, Chairman Mao Zedong of the Central People's Government of the People’s Republic of China issued a decree appointing Hsu Chung-ching as the President of SYSU.

4.The public meeting of the SYSU Branch of the Communist Party of China
On April 19, 1951, the SYSU Branch in Guangzhou of the Communist Party of China held a public meeting, with Feng Naichao serving as the secretary.

On June 12, 1951, SYSU established the Aircraft and Artillery Donation Organization and launched the aircraft and artillery donation campaign.

The change of the anniversary day of SYSU in consultation with Vice Chairperson Soong Ching-ling via telegraph
On November 11, 1951, President Hsu Chung-ching and Vice President Feng Naichao of SYSU telegraphed Soong Ching-ling, Vice Chairperson of the Central People’s Government, to consult about changing the anniversary day of the founding of SYSU. They decided to change the anniversary day from November 11 to November 12 to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sun Yat-sen starting from 1951.
